Bring water to a boil, remove from the heat source, then add the applicable amount of herb to the water. Cover \u0026amp; allow to steep for at least 20 minutes (longer for stronger tea). Strain the herb \u0026amp; let stand until cool enough to drink. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDecoction - Cover roots, barks \u0026amp; other hard herbal material with water, an ounce of the herb to a pint and a half of water. Bring to a boil \u0026amp; gently simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Drain off the liquid while hot \u0026amp; press the herbs to make sure that the decoction is fully extracted. Decoctions are strong.
